The Ford GT-40 is the only American built racecar to win overall at Le Mans. The GT-40, winner of Le Mans four times in a row, starting with a 1, 2 ,3 finish in 1969 also finished 1, 2, 3 the same year at Daytona 24 Hour. Many of its podium finishes were while racing with the famous Blue & Orange "Gulf" livery.
